| Put half cup of water and 1 teaspoon of salt into a sealed bag in the freezer overnight...add food colouring as well. Put into a jar the next day with some fruit juice and shake well....watch the slushy appear. ( Science: ice freezes at a lower temp with salt) |
Swimming starts on WEDNESDAY afternoon and goes through until end of next week....every day! Remember to load swim suit and towel each day...we will leave at 1.50pm ....children will get changed AT school and walk down with footwear and hats on plus a shirt. We will get changed into clothes after swimming at the pool side. Swimming will only be cancelled if very cold or the pool closes.

ReplyDeleteI was very interested to read of your slushy.What did you do with it when you got it out of the freezer?
I was also wondering what happens when you just freeze some water on its own, without the salt? Does it look and feel the same? Perhaps someone from Room 16 could come and tell me or you could invite me into your class and tell me there. What do you think?
