HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all our new SIX year olds!!!!
Week 1

dr for DRAGON!!
The Dragon
The drums were drumming loud and clear,
The dragon raised his head.
He looked across the drawbridge,
And this is what he said.
“I am a dreadful dragon,
I dare you, draw your sword!
For I am fearsome and so brave,
And I am feeling bored.”

The knight he gazed upon this beast,
Breathing fire and flame.
And knew that if he killed him now,
He would be filled with shame.

He dropped his sword upon the ground,
Then stroked the dragon’s nose.
This kindness made the dragon droop,
Great tears dripped on his toes.

The dragon never fought again,
At last he had a friend.
He’s dreamed of this for many years,
And so this story ends.
